What it does
- Plays offline. You can download playlists to the device in advance and the music plays without internet. You only need a connection to refresh the selections.
- Radio stations. Right in the app you can turn on a radio station: an endless stream by genre.
- Syncs with the location. The app plays what is assigned to the venue in the schedule and switches music by working hours, just like the web player.
- Control from the device. You can assign a playlist, pause, or remove a track from Favorites right in the app. The console sees the change instantly.
- Speakers over Bluetooth. Connect the device to speakers over Bluetooth and the sound goes to them.
How to get started
- Install the app from Google Play (an iOS version is coming soon).
- Sign in with the same email you use for the console and pick the location or zone where the device is. It links itself, no codes.
- Download the playlists you need for offline play and connect the speakers over Bluetooth.
Keeping the device playing all day
By default a phone dims the screen and goes to sleep, which can interrupt the music. Set the device up once:
- Keep the device on the charger: it will not run down and goes to sleep less often.
- Screen: Settings → Display → Screen timeout, set it to the maximum or “Never”.
- Battery: in battery settings let the app run without restrictions and turn off power saving and “optimization” for it.
- Background and autostart: allow the app to run in the background and to start after a reboot, if that option exists.
- Do not swipe the app away, leave it running.
The best setup for a venue: a dedicated tablet or phone at the counter, on the charger, with auto-lock off and only our app on it. Then the music plays by itself all day.
